This is such an
exciting day for us! Micah had been wanting to go back to school since we left
Provo in April, but with our trip to Brazil, followed by a wonderful Summer
break, he had to wait just a bit longer than what he expected.
We had to wake him
up earlier (we had to take Doug to work), but Micah was a trooper and when told
it was time to get ready for school he didn't hesitate to get out of bed - I
remember when I was that excited about school (I used to wake up at 5am when
school didn't start until 8am).
He sat in his car
seat for at least 45 minutes (traffic was bad), before we were back from taking
Doug to work and ready for the School Bus. During the whole time he was
laughing, singing, talking, JUST SO EXCITED!
When we finally made
it to the Bus Stop, Micah was thrilled to see so many kids waiting for their
Buses (plus, he was excited that there was a light rain, which meant he got to
use his umbrella!). We saw 3 buses come by before Micah’s showed up, which
increased his expectations.
It was finally
here! Micah was just so eager that he gave me a quick kiss and into the Bus he
went! I am so glad that Virginia actually has all kids buckle up for the Bus
ride. I watched as he got buckled up, he looked at me with a BIG, SHINY SMILE… blew me a kiss, said “I love you”, and waved good bye. Bitter-sweet…

with my little one – who loves going to Preschool!!!
