Meet Baby Raccoon!

I have been so busy these last weeks that blogging hasn't left my "wish list" - hopefully I will be able to catch up sometime. I will start at the Latin American Fair we went to a week ago, I wasn't expecting it to be as fun as it turned out to be!

Rubia and Spencer invited us to go and after hesitating a bit I said "yes" (that cost me being up to date in my school work), definitely worth it!

Mom and Rubia - que gatinhas!

Both Micah and Spencer enjoyed their ride in the train, but I didn't see as much excitement as I expected. Perhaps they were puzzled (as we were) that this train was actually moved by a lady's muscles.

Very interesting!

The funnest part of this activity was to find a friend I haven't seen in over a year! I met Carrie in a swimming class at BYU - she was the teacher. We became friends and due to our schedules being crazy in their own different ways we lost track of each other. It was a blast to see her again and catch up. She had an adorable baby raccoon with her (that was the highlight of the fair). I guess it's mom got killed and Carrie's sister bottle fed it for a while and now, Carrie is taking care of it. She was nice enough to let everyone interested hold it and take pictures with it. This baby raccoon was a cutie, all it wanted to do was to snuggle and chew on our fingers - ADORABLE!

My mom fell in love with it!

So cute!

The only sad thing is that Carrie thinks this baby has to get killed when it becomes an adult, due to the fact that it becomes quite aggressive - would you, dear reader, know anything about it?

XOXO!

  2. Angela, how fun to see you at the festival! Riley the Racoon is bigger now, and able to eat real food - cat food that is. We talked to my sister's mother in law and she has raised a couple racoons until they were a year old. She said after a year they get aggressive and they run away. Maybe we can just let Riley out in the wild.
